 |

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.  (April 1, 2014) – The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP), the premiere professional beach volleyball tour in the U.S., is proud to announce that Barefoot Wine, maker of fun, flavorful and affordable wines, has been named the official wine of the AVP Tour. Barefoot Refresh, a light-style or light-bodied, refreshing wine with a signature fizz, will appear on court, in national television advertising and at special on-site activations during all seven of the AVP’s tournaments across the United States. Additionally, Barefoot Bubbly will be the toast of choice for all post-tournament championship celebrations, a tradition of AVP tournaments.

“This is a terrific partnership for us and we’re happy to have Barefoot on board again for the 2014 season,” said AVP Managing Partner Donald Sun. “We truly appreciate the support they have shown professional beach volleyball over the years.”

“We’re excited to partner with the AVP for its 2014 season, as we feel strongly that the Barefoot brand fits perfectly with the beach volleyball lifestyle,” added Peaches Brady, Brand Manager for Barefoot Wine & Bubbly. “We have worked with the AVP before, and we’re looking forward to being back at the beach with them again this summer.”

The AVP’s 2014 schedule includes seven tournaments in different regions of the U.S., from Florida to Southern California. In its third year under the guidance of AVP Managing Partner Donald Sun, who purchased the tour in 2012, the AVP has expanded its property to include tour stops this season in St. Petersburg, Fla.
