Unilever win Brazil's Superliga Final

Sãeback from two sets down in the Brazilian Women’s Superliga Final to win the crown for the eighth time on Sunday. The team from Rio beat out rivals and FIVB club world champions Sollys/Nestlé (SP) 3-2 (22-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-15, 15-9) in a match that lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo.
Brazilian star Natalia and Canadian Sarah Pavan top scored for Unilever with 22 points each while Sollys / Nestle’s Sheilla recorded 17. Unilever’s setter Fofão, received the VivaVôlei trophy after the game for her courageous play having played on in spite of an injury in her right calf.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist gave birth to Scout Margery Jennings at 7:46 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively, adding that mommy and baby are “healthy and resting.”

Six European countries qualify to FIVB U18 World Championship

Bar, Montenegro, April 7, 2013 – Poland, Italy, Turkey, Serbia, Greece and Slovenia have secured the six CEV vacancies to this year’s FIVB Girls' Youth World Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The top eight nations in the final ranking have also qualified for the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht, Netherlands, which includes the organisers, The Netherlands.
AVP Celebrates One-Year Anniversary under New Ownership
