Sãeback from two sets down in the Brazilian Women’s Superliga Final to win the crown for the eighth time on Sunday. The team from Rio beat out rivals and FIVB club world champions Sollys/Nestlé (SP) 3-2 (22-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-15, 15-9) in a match that lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo.
Brazilian star Natalia and Canadian Sarah Pavan top scored for Unilever with 22 points each while Sollys / Nestle’s Sheilla recorded 17. Unilever’s setter Fofão, received the VivaVôlei trophy after the game for her courageous play having played on in spite of an injury in her right calf.
