Kazakh Beach Pairs Show Dominance at Asian U-21 Quarterfinals

Chennai, India, May 18, 2013 – Kazakhstan showed its dominance as two men’s pairs and one women’s pair reached the semifinals of the AVC Beach Volleyball U-21 Championships on Saturday.
Kazakh pair Vladislav Pustynnikov and Sergy Bogatu beat Indian tandem of Shanakar Vaspari and Maheshkumar Charka in straight sets (21-12, 21-10) while the other Kazakh pair Viktor Pestov and Kirili Gurin followed suit by defeating another Indian team Aaron Pereira and Javid Samsu in straight sets (21-18, 21-15).
Joining the Kazakhs in the semifinals are Australia’s Tomas Hodges and Malachi Murch who eased past Omani pair Faisal Alshezawi and Ahmad Albalushi in yet another straight sets match (21-15, 21-6).
