DJ Roueche

 

 

DJ Roueche (pronounced - Ru Shay) has been wowing crowds since the age of 17 and been the official DJ for the AVP since 2003. With over a decade of national and international music producing, Roueche's resume includes DJing the official after parties for the People's Choice and Sag Awards to events for Dr. Dre, Gwen Stefanie, and The Pussycat Dolls. A regular on the club circuit in Hollywood (Sky Bar, Social, VICE and Sangria in Hermosa Beach), Roueche has also taken time to teach middle school kids with the R.A.P. Program in the Lawndale School District how to DJ and is a big supporter of the Dig For Kids Foundation started by the AVP's own, Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Fonoimoana.  Pro Beach Volleyball isn't the only sport Roueche has leant his skills to.  He's been DJing for the Los Angeles Clippers since 2003 and has DJed USA Sevens Rugby Events, USA Swim Meets, Men's PAC 10 Basketball Tournaments and games for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

 

Roueche, who grew up in Virginia just outside of Washington D.C., got his start by DJing high school proms and homecomings.  When he moved to California in 1997, he started working in the music industry at Maverick Records (Co-Owned by Madonna). While working at Maverick, yes he met Madanna and worked directly for her and her manager, he continued to hone his DJ skills and started his own company, VALA Entertainment, in 2001.  VALA Entertainment now includes four DJ's and besided being a Professional DJ Company, has branched out into Music Consulting, Producing and Editing.
