Olympic gold medalist Rogers was named the Best Defensive Player on the AVP from 2004-2008 and FIVB's Best Defensive Player from 2006-2008. He also collected the AVP's MVP award in 2006.

With former partner Sean Scott, he won the last three team events in 2005, then won four of the first five of 2006 with Phil Dalhausser. He and Dalhausser won a season-most eight AVP events in 2006, as well as an FIVB Grand Slam event in Austria, becoming the first American men to win an FIVB title in 51 events. Combined with his God of the Beach title in Las Vegas, Rogers won 10 titles in 2006, including wins in back-to-back weeks in Austria and Manhattan Beach, along with a long-awaited victory in his hometown of Santa Barbara.

Rogers and Dalhausser won 11 times in 2007, including the FIVB World Championships, marking the first such title for an American team.

In 2008, Rogers and Dalhausser won the biggest event of their lives by taking the gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Rogers and Dalhausser continued their dominance in 2009, winning eight events and their third straight AVP Team of the Year award.

Began his career teamed with former high school teammate Dax Holdren, winning eight titles in seven seasons. In 2000 in Mexico, won his first Gold Medal on the FIVB Tour with Holdren as the 32nd seed. Named AVP Rookie of the Year in 1997.

Played with Scott from 2002-2005, breaking into the winner's circle in Tempe in 2004. Just missed qualifying for the 2004 Olympics, finishing as the third-ranked U.S. team in the two-year process. Rogers and Scott were the fourth-highest ranked team worldwide to not qualify for the Olympics (due to country quotas). The duo advanced to the semifinals in six of the seven AVP events they played in 2004, the second most of any team despite missing several events to play internationally.

He ranked sixth on the AVP Tour in 2005 in digs (755) and seventh in hitting percentage (.436). In 2006 he again was sixth in digs (4.56 per game) and ninth in hitting percentage (.430). Rogers was fifth in 2006 in digs (4.82 per game) and seventh in hitting percentage (.414).

Attended University of California Santa Barbara where he earned All-American volleyball honors (1995-96). Holds the school record for career digs (783) and is second on the season-best list with 246. Ranks second all-time in assists (4,831), ninth in total blocks (270) and eighth in block assists (222).

Personal: Holds a degree in Religious Studies and a minor in coaching from UCSB, where he was the assistant men's volleyball coach from 2000 to 2005. Enjoys soccer, reading sci-fi books, hiking, surfing, and gardening. Is married to wife Melissa and has a daughter Hannah and a son Nate.
