Nicknamed the "FLY-N-HAWAIIAN," Paaluhi's (PAW-LU-HE) best finishes are sevenths in 1995 (with Nick Hannemann at Minneapolis), 1996 (with Daniel Cardenas at Belmar), 1998 (with Nick Hannemann at Tucson) and 2000 (with Albert Hannemann at Huntington Beach). He surfed until he was 16, then took up volleyball. Paaluhi has assisted with high school volleyball teams.
