With 10 seasons under her belt, Dodd is a consistent and dominant force on the women's side.  Originally from Milwaukee, Dodd has proven that players don't have to grow up on the beach to be fierce competitors. She has ranked in the top 15 of a domestic tour in nine of her 10 seasons playing professional beach volleyball.

 

In 2000, she achieved her greatest accomplishment - winning the Hermosa Beach Open with Leanne McSorley. In 2002, she was named the AVP's Best Setter. Dodd had her best international finish in 2004 when she teamed up with Nancy Mason to place fourth in the Marseille Grand Slam. In 2005, Dodd played with three different partners, advancing to the semifinals with each one. She finished the 2005 season ranked ninth in digs (574) and 10th in aces (64).

 

Dodd ranked 10th in kill percentage (.548) in 2006. During the 2007 season, she competed in her 100th domestic event, a feat which only three other active players had accomplished. 

 

Formerly Carrie Busch, she was an All-American at the University of Texas, where her older sister Nikki also played. Carrie was named MVP in helping Texas to second place at the NCAA finals. She graduated with a degree in sports administration.

 

Currently residing in Currently residing in El Segundo, California with her rescue dog Molly, she married Matt Dodd, brother of Beach Volleyball Olympic Medalist Mike Dodd, in March 2005.
