Kerri Walsh will play with husband Casey Jennings in a coed exhibition Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Must-see matchups throughout a round-robin tournament won’t mark the only memorable moments at this weekend’s AVP Crocs Tour Best of the Beach presented by Vegas.com. From early Friday morning through Saturday night’s final session of play, special events will add to the excitement in Las Vegas.

Southern California fans can get in on the fun first by watching Friday’s KTLA Morning News for live segments with AVP stars.  Joining the show will be AVP pros and CEO Challenge coaches Katie Lindquist and Whitney Pavlik at approximately 7:50 a.m., top women’s seed Nicole Branagh at approximately 8:30 a.m., and Branagh’s partner Elaine Youngs at approximately 9:30 a.m. Chris “Geeter” McGee, the voice of the AVP, will appear on an afternoon segment at approximately 1:30 p.m.

KTLA will continue to bring Las Vegas coverage to Southern California Saturday night by televising the women’s and men’s finals live in their entirety starting at 7 p.m. In addition to the title matches themselves, the telecast will include highly anticipated finals partner ceremonies. In these ceremonies, unique to Best of the Beach, qualifying finalists will reveal partners of their choice for the championship match just minutes before getting started.

Also Saturday, two special matches on Stadium Court are slated to lead up to the Best of the Beach finals. At 5:15 p.m. PDT, the CEO Challenge championship match will get started after finalists are introduced to the crowd just like AVP stars. The top two players from a pool of eight celebrities and executives entering the weekend competition will have the opportunity to choose their partners from the group containing AVP pros and CEO Challenge coaches Jenny Kropp, Katie Lindquist, Ryan Mariano, and Whitney Pavlik. Pros will add valuable skills and experience to their teams but will not be able to jump, ensuring the best CEO Challenge player wins the one game to 25 points final. Following the match, both players will be awarded trophies and interviewed on avpTV. For more on the CEO Challenge, click here.

Immediately following the CEO Challenge championship, fans will have the opportunity to see AVP standouts and husband and wife Casey Jennings and Kerri Walsh team up for a coed challenge exhibition at approximately 6 p.m. PDT. In a homecoming for Las Vegas native Jennings, the couple will take on a coed team to be announced in one game to 25 points. Those who can’t make it to Las Vegas can catch the coed challenge live on avpTV.

In addition to the matches, Saturday’s night session will include the coronation of the inaugural AVP Fantasy Volleyball champion. Tom Chapman, who managed winning team Delnatha, will receive a trophy during a ceremony on Stadium Court to commemorate his beach volleyball brilliance. Chapman’s free trip to Las Vegas also includes VIP tickets to every session, a meet and greet with players, and a clinic taught by the pros. Chapman’s winning roster as of Tournament of Champions was composed of Sean Scott, Hans Stolfus, Ed Ratledge, and John Mayer on the men’s side and women Lisa Rutledge, Annett Davis, Jennifer Fopma, and Priscilla Lima.

KTLA’s live telecast of the finals will be followed by Versus’ tape-delayed national telecasts of the women’s and men’s finals Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. EDT.

avpTV will stream more than 11 hours of live Best of the Beach coverage from Las Vegas! Tune in Friday at 9 p.m. EDT and watch until 1:30 a.m. EDT. Coverage will resume Saturday at 6 p.m. EDT and run until 1 a.m. EDT, culminating with the women’s and men’s finals. Click here to start watching avpTV for free.
