Kentucky Grilled Chicken sponsored a field trip for 100 local elementary students Friday, Sept. 25 to the AVP World Challenge: USA vs. Brazil presented by Sanderson Ford in Glendale, Ariz., to inspire healthy living.
During their field trip the students, from Phoenix-based sports-centric charter school Summit Elementary, enjoyed special access. They watched KGC athletes Nicole Branagh and Elaine Youngs compete on Stadium Court in addition to other teams, including Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh and Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers. Students also participated in on-court promotions such as the KGC Chicken Dance.
When they weren't watching the competition, students talked with Branagh and Youngs about healthy eating, teamwork, and the duo's Olympic journeys. Branagh and Youngs signed autographs for the students and members of the Summit Stingers volleyball team got to practice on an AVP court.

KGC donated apparel that promoted both healthy eating and AVP competition to the students for their field trip. Earlier this year, KGC launched its "unthink" campaign to promote the healthier, unfried side of its brand.
