Olympians advance to final four

Olympic gold medalists Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers, along with fellow top seeds and Beijing Olympians Nicole Branagh and Elaine Youngs, have solidified their spot in the Final Four at the AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta Open.
In the last match of Saturday’s night session, Dalhausser and Rogers defeated fifth-seeded Brad Keenan and Nick Lucena 21-13, 25-23.
During Saturday’s day session, Dalhausser and Rogers sent ninth-seeded Pedro Brazao and Matt Prosser to the Contender’s Bracket by a score of 21-18, 21-18.
Branagh and Youngs secured their sixth trip to the Final Four this season with a resounding 21-18, 21-7 defeat of fourth-seeded Dianne DeNecochea and Carrie Dodd.
Earlier Saturday, Branagh and Youngs went to three games against eighth-seeded Jenny Kropp and Barbra Fontana and emerged victorious: 21-17, 22-24, 15-8.
The second seeds on both sides of the draw, John Hyden / Sean Scott and Brooke Hanson / Lisa Rutledge also advanced to Sunday’s semifinals.
