AVP Pro Beach Volleyball and Barefoot Wine have stepped up their long-standing partnership with the creation of the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup to honor talented beach volleyball players across the country. The series will draw hopefuls from men’s and women’s grassroots amateur beach volleyball leagues in 16 cities. The local series winners will have the opportunity to play for a main draw berth at the AVP Crocs Tour San Francisco to play against the Pros. 

“The Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup is the most exciting qualifier series we have seen in a long time,” said Leonard Armato, CEO and Commissioner of the AVP Crocs Tour.  “We look forward to working together to grow the sport of beach volleyball all around the country.”

Over the course of the next few months, participating leagues will run a tournament series in order to determine the top players.  The winning men’s and women’s teams in each league will receive an all-expense paid trip to the AVP Crocs Tour San Francisco on August 14 - 16 and cash prizes. The winning male and female teams of the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship cup on August 13^th will face off against the world’s most elite beach volleyball players in the first round of the AVP Crocs Tour and be featured in the event’s television broadcast.
