[MASON, Ohio ~ Feb. 14, 2009] Always a special day for lovers, this year’s Valentine’s Day presents an unprecedented cost-savings opportunity for the volleyball-loving enthusiasts amongst us with today’s announcement that organizers of the AVP Crocs Tour Mason Pro Beach Volleyball are slashing general-admission ticket prices for their Labor Day Weekend event.

Fans of the finest professional beach volleyball played on the planet can see all their favorite stars in action Sept. 4-6 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center for $5. That’s a 50 percent savings on the $10 general-admission ticket sold at the 2008 AVP Crocs Tour Mason, the largest attended event on the AVP Tour last year.

While other Cincinnati-area professional sports teams or sporting events announced little or no increases in ticket prices for 2009, the organizers of the AVP Mason event are dropping their prices.  “Times are tough. That’s about the only news you hear every day. In concert with our fifth anniversary event, the $5 ticket price ‘just made sense’,” said Bob Slattery, owner and President of Reach Event Marketing (REM), promoter of the AVP Crocs Tour Mason.

“We’ve always had a great event. Now anyone can experience it at a great price,” Slattery added. “The community support that we saw last year, with all the Olympians and the four Gold Medal winners, was fantastic. We look forward to making this year the greatest AVP Mason event ever.”

The AVP Crocs Tour Mason event will feature 150 of the best volleyball players in the world, male and female, including returning Olympians from the 2008 Beijing Games.
