Fans in Minneapolis got a welcomed break from the cold and were able to escape to the beach for a few hours tonight, as the third week of the 2009 AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights Tour got underway at the Target Center.

The results from the women’s pool play round are as follows:

Match 1: Boss/Branagh 11 vs. Kropp/Turner 15 

Match 2: Boss/Kropp 12 vs. Branagh/Turner 15

Match 3: Boss/Turner 12 vs. Branagh/Kropp 15

On the men’s side of the competition, pool play ended with the following results:

Match 1: Medel/Metzger 13  vs. Olson/Rogers 15

Match 2: Medel/Olson 13 vs. Metzger/Rogers 15

Match 3: Medel/Rogers 15 vs. Metzger/Olson 10

After the success of last week’s addition of a coed, four-on-four, exhibition game, all eight of the AVP Pros hit the sand once again for tonight’s final match. 

Women’s pool play winner, Jenny Kropp, picked her team that was made up of Tyra Turner, Matt Olson, and Stein Metzger.

On the other side of the net, men’s pool play winner, Todd Rogers, lead his team which included Anthony Medel, Jen Boss, and .

When all was said and done, Todd Rogers’s team defeated Jenny Kropp’s team, with a final score of 21 to 16.T
