Hot Winter Nights Results from Kansas City
Coed championship match makes for an exciting night of competition

Dianne DeNecochea lead her coed team to victory in the final match of the night.
The 2009 AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights Tour continued on tonight in Kansas City, Missouri at the Sprint Center.
On the women’s competition, pool play results are as follows:
Match 1: Akers/Hochevar 15 vs. DeNecochea/Youngs 13
Match 2: Akers/Youngs 12 vs. DeNecochea/Hochevar 15
Match 3: Akers/DeNecochea 15 vs. Hochevar/Youngs 12
On the men's side of competition, the results from the men’s pool play are as follows:
Match 1: Dalhausser/Lucena 15 vs. Jennings/Rogers 13
Match 2: Dalhausser/Rogers 15 vs. Jennings/Lucena 11; Match 3: Dalhausser/Jennings 15 vs. Lucena/Rogers 10
After pool play concluded tonight, fans were treated to a unique final exhibition match. In a departure from the normal format of the Hot Winter Nights Tour, one coed championship match was played. Each team consisted of two male and two female players on a side, with the team captains being determined by the results of pool play.
Women’s pool play winner, Dianne DeNecochea assembled her team that consisted of Brittany Hochevar, Casey Jennings and Todd Rogers.
Men’s pool play winner, Phil Dalhausser chose to team with Nick Lucena, Angie Akers, and Elaine Youngs.
In what turned out to be a very exciting way to end the night, DeNecochea’s team defeated Dalhausser’s team with a final score of 21 to 15.
