Still basking in the glow of what has been described as one of the most extravagant and entertaining Olympic Games in recent memory, Team USA gold medalists Phil Dalhausser and partner Todd Rogers, along with Olympians Sean Rosenthal, Jake Gibb, Elaine Youngs, and Nicole Branagh have committed to playing in the 2009 AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights Tour.
In the round-robin format, Dalhausser and Rogers may actually have to compete against one another. This will give AVP fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the stars of this summer battling it out in arenas throughout the country.
After incredible wins by Dalhausser and Rogers, as well as women's champs Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, the duo have embarked on a remarkable appearance schedule that the gold medalists have sometimes appeared on the East and West coasts in the same day.
But despite their jam-packed itineraries and endless requests for appearances, "The Professor" (Rogers) and "The Beijing Beast" (Dalhausser) have chosen to compete on the AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights tour.
Though it hasn't been determined which specific events the Olympians will play, fans are guaranteed that at least one Olympian will compete in their respective city.
The 2009 Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights Tour takes place in January and February of 2009. For a complete 2009 AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights Tour schedule and tickets, click here.
