Treanor's wife gets votes of confidence

As Misty May-Treanor said on Dancing with the Stars, she's been Queen of the Beach, now she wants to become queen of the ballroom. Well, she's sure on her way!

For Monday night's Foxtrot performance, May-Treanor looked absolutely stunning in her black sequined dress. May-Treanor said during the show that her biggest challenge was to move past her jock-ish ways and dance like a lady. The judges thought she'd made a great effort to dance with grace and her Foxtrot earned her and partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a score of 22 out of 30.

"The first night was so fun!" May-Treanor beamed. "Preparations for the show lasted all day with hair, make-up, wardrobe, and dress rehearsal. I was a little nervous for my first live dance but it went well."

Because of everyone's diligent voting, Misty and Maksim were the first couple to be safe from the second night's elimination.

In preparing for the second episode, May-Treanor learned the Mambo and had a hard time shaking her hips. "This is the most awkward sexy dance I've ever seen," laughed Chmerkovskiy during a practice session.

However, May-Treanor figured it out in time and presented an exciting rendition of the Mambo to the audience. The judges praised her for the enthusiasm that she brought to the dance and again awarded her with 22 points.

Thus far, May-Treanor has conquered both gracefulness and shaking her booty and will move on to the third live episode premiering on Wednesday night.

She found crowd support in Kerri Walsh and Casey Jennings who attended on Monday and in Nicole Branagh and Holly McPeak who were in the audience on Tuesday, but what she's really depending on are the votes from the viewers.
